Jenell Davis
Director and Owner
Jenell Davis grew up in the heart of field hockey in Lancaster, PA where she graduated from J.P. McCaskey high school. Jenell was the first freshmen ever to make the varsity field hockey team. Jenell was a multisport athlete and she participated in competitive dance, basketball, lacrosse, soccer and track. Jenell began her coaching career in high school by mentoring and coaching elementary and middle school players. After high school, Jenell continued her education and field hockey career at Appalachian State University. Over the summers, Jenell coached at summer camps and clinics. In 2005, she graduated with a BS in International and Comparative Politics from Appalachian State University.
After college, Jenell moved to Charlotte where she continued coaching field hockey. Prior to Carolina Curse, Jenell was a part of Charlotte Ambush for over 8 years where she was the Competitive & Youth Program Head, Select Development Program Head, and Indoor Specialist. Jenell was directly involved in growing the sport of field hockey in the Charlotte area which led to the development of field hockey programs at numerous schools. Two school programs that Jenell had the most impact in development are Community House Middle School and Ardrey Kell High School
Jenell founded Carolina Curse Field Hockey Academy of the Carolinas to continue the growth of the game in the Carolinas.
